Hossein Tavazoni-Zadeh is a performance maker, educator, and researcher. His work brings together Cultural Memory Studies and performance to explore images of the past and their relation to social issues, archives, remembering and forgetting, and heritage. Hossein has lectured and led workshops in both academic and artistic contexts in France, the Netherlands, and Iran, and has collaborated on a variety of productions as a writer, dramaturge, and stage designer. Hossein is in the final phase of his PhD at the University of Groningen, where his research examines how media and fiction shape the memory of built environments and invest them with emotional resonance.
