Research

Drawing on his series of site-based performances in Tehran during the 2010s, Hossein, a final-year PhD candidate at the University of Groningen, explores how media and fiction shape the collective emotional memory of domestic spaces. He holds a master’s degree in Film Studies from Sooreh University in Iran, where his thesis examined Iranian site-specific theatre through its filmic expressions of architecture. Since 2023, he has been actively engaged in lecturing, course coordination, and thesis supervision across Cultural Studies, Theatre and Performance Studies, and Film and Audiovisual Media Studies at the University of Groningen.
